PSL, ZWSL elections slated for July 25

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) is set to hold elections for the Premier Soccer League and Zimbabwe Women’s Soccer League on 25 July.

Zifa has developed a proposed road map for the elections with nominations opening.

Deadline for completing submission of documents is 20 June with 27 June being the day candidates will be notified of the status of their nominations.

The final list of candidates will be announced on 10 July.

Five positions are up for grabs in the PSL, that of the chairperson and vice chairperson and three committee members while the ZWSL has seven positions, Chairperson her vice and five committee members.

The two bodies have been run by interim committees with the PSL being led by emergency committee trio of Masimba Chihowa, Moses Maunganidze and Isaiah Mupfurutsa

While Theresa Maguraushe has been leading the ZWSL.

It will be seen if Zifa will conduct elections for the rest of the Assembly affiliates as their terms have also expired with some being led by interim committees.
