Liverpool’s Elliott does not want to be “wasting years” on sidelines
Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott admits he does not want to be “wasting years” of his career as he faces a crucial decision about where his future lies.
The 22-year-old was limited to just 18 appearances during the last Premier League season, starting only twice as Liverpool went on to win their 20th title.
Asked whether he is considering leaving the club he loves, he replied: “It’s just a situation that me and the team have to have a conversation about because I’m coming into an age now where I’m 22, I’m going to be 23 next season.
“I don’t really want to be wasting years on my career because it’s a short career. You don’t know what’s going to happen.

Dortmund showing interest in Sancho

Borussia Dortmund have asked to be kept up to date with developments on Jadon Sancho’s future.
Dortmund are one of a number of clubs in Europe and in the Premier League interested in the Manchester United forward.
Sancho has returned to United after Chelsea didn’t take up the obligation to buy him following his loan.
Sancho spent four successful seasons at Dortmund before United signed him for £73m in July 2021.
He then had an impressive loan spell at Dortmund in the second half of the 2023/24 season.

Donnarumma set for PSG talks amid Man Utd interest
Gianluigi Donnarumma is set for talks with PSG over a new contract amid interest from Manchester United and Manchester City, according to L’Equipe.
His current deal runs until June 2026 and PSG are reportedly keen to extend it.

De Jong on a potential new deal: They want, I want it
Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong believes he will sign a new contract with the club.
His current deal is set to expire next summer.
“I think I will sign a new contract, but you can never say that with a hundred percent certainty. If everything goes well, then it will happen,” De Jong told Dutch outlet Voetbalzone.
“They want it and I want it, so normally you can work it out.”

Dortmund want €50m-€60m for Gittens
“I’m not convinced that Jamie Gittins will play the Club World Cup with Chelsea as their first offer was rejected.
“And to our understanding, Borussia Dortmund are demanding between €50m-€60m guaranteed for Jamie Gittens to get the deal done. They are open to sell him as Gittens has reached a total verbal agreement with Chelsea about a six or seven years contract.
“So on the player side, it’s all done with Chelsea. But there is no total agreement between Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea. We are expecting some more rounds of negotiations in the next days.”

Sunderland agree Jobe Bellingham fee with Dortmund
Sunderland have agreed a fee of €33m (£27.8m), plus €5m (£4.2m) add-ons for Jobe Bellingham to join Borussia Dortmund.
The agreement also includes a 15 per cent sell-on fee.
This represents a significant increase on the €20m (£16.9m) opening bid Dortmund made and, once completed, it will be the highest transfer fee Sunderland have ever received.
Excluding add-ons, Bellingham will become the second most expensive signing in Borussia Dortmund’s history and with realistic add-ons in place he is expected to become their club-record signing.
