ZIFA takes FIFA Football for Schools to Midlands

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has successful rolled out the FIFA Football for Schools (F4S) Project in the Midlands Province.
This past week saw Zifa distributing essential football equipment to schools in marginalised communities in the province’s seven districts.

Schools in Gokwe, Kwekwe, Mvuma, Gweru, Shurugwi, Mberengwa, and Zvishavane received a consignment of footballs as part of this transformative programme. The distribution is aimed at increasing access to football at grassroots level, nurturing young talent, and promoting social inclusion through sport.

Accodding to a Zifa press statement, “The Football for Schools project aligns with ZIFA’s broader vision of expanding football development across all corners of the country, particularly in underserved and hard-to-reach areas.
“By capacitating schools with basic equipment, the Association continues to lay the foundation for a more inclusive and vibrant football ecosystem.”

ZIFA expressed gratitude to FIFA for its unwavering support and reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots football development in Zimbabwe.
