PSL summons Yadah FC and Spencer Muvadi over goalkeeper assault

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) Disciplinary Committee has summoned Yadah FC and its official, Spencer Muvadi, for a hearing  over allegations of a violent assault on the club’s goalkeeper, Godknows Gurure.

The incident occurred in the changing rooms after Yadah FC’s home match against Ngezi Platinum Stars FC on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Heart Stadium.


Yadah lost the game 2-3.


Yadah FC is being charged with “assault and violent conduct exhibited by its officials and sponsors towards a player at the end of the match.”


Mr. Muvadi was accused of “invasion of dressing rooms, assault and violent conduct towards Yadah FC goalkeeper Godknows Gurure and for conduct which is considered ungentlemanly, or improper behaviour likely to bring the game into disrepute.”


The match in question, a closely contested encounter at Heart Stadium, saw Yadah FC lose 3-2 to Ngezi Platinum Stars.


The hearing is set for September 11 at the PSL offices.
