NEW boys MWOS, Simba Bhora and Scottland FC continue to rule the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League as they dominate the race for the chmpionship title as the programme draws to the end of the first half of the season.
MWOS, rule the roost and are unbeaten in the league, playing their seventh draw of the season at the weekend when they were held by Triangle at Gibbo Stadium and brace for a midweek clash against Caps United at Ngoni on Thursday.
It’s a big test for coach Lloyd Musasa against a seemingly resurgent Green Machine, who have registered two wins after the loss to Simba Bhora, under coach Ian Bakala.
Caps beat Chicken Inn1-0 at the weekend.
Mutasa said despite the draw to Triangle, they played one of the best games of the season and he now looks forward to Makepekepe.
“We were a bit careless in defence today but I liked the fighting spirit from the boys. It was not one of our best performances but coming here and getting a draw, I can only appreciate the work done by the youngsters. We go back to the drawing board as we prepare for our next fixture against CAPS United.”
On the other hand, Bakala said his side is still work in progress.
“We still have work to do but the boys now understand our working culture. So we are going step by step and I am happy,” said Bakala.
MWOS are on 31 points on the table while champions Simba Bhora, are just two points shy of the log-leader after felling Highlanders 3-2 in front of their home crowd at Barbourfields on Sunday.
Coach Joel Luphala said his boys did not do well against Ngezi Platinum before the international break and were under pressure to beat Highlanders.

FC Platinum were the biggest winners at the weekend, hammering ZPC Kariba 4-0 at Mandava to lift themselves to position five on the log-table with 23 points, just a point behind TelOne who beat Green Fuel away from home and on Wednesday host ZPC Kariba at Bata.
