DYNAMOS’ plot to survive the dreaded chop from the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League takes centre stage as they return home to host Manica Diamonds at Rufaro Stadium in a midweek clash on Thursday.
The Glamour Boys, on an awful patch, paddling perilously in the murky waters of relegation on position 17 with 15 points have won only two matches in 21 games with nine defeats and nine draws.
They will not have it on a silver platter against Manica Diamonds, who are also standing on loose ground on the 15th spot on the standings with just 21 points from 20 games with a game hanging to FC Platinum.
Just a few days later on Sunday, DeMbare will be in Bulawayo against unstable Chicken Inn who are also sitting in an uncomfortable position 12 with 23 points and would also want to uplift themselves.
They will then have a tough one when they host MWOS at Rufaro after the GameCocks and hit the road to fellow strugglers, rock-bottom placed Kwekwe United in a game that might determine Dynamos’ destiny in the top flight.
Also struggling in the league with 23 points is Green Fuel who are away to Yadah, with the same number of points, at Heart Stadium on Wednesday.
At the top of the log-standings, Simba Bhora with 43 points will be seeking to stretch their lead at the apex with a tough one against stubborn TelOne at Ascot Stadium on Wednesday.
The WiFi Boys have put up a stellar performance in the ongoing season and have only lost two matches in 21 games, they have won eight and drew 10 with 34 points and sit on position four on the log-table.
Scottland are away to Bikita Minerals at Gibbo on Thursday, chasing second-placed MWOS, who are on 40 points and date ZPC Kariba at Nyamhunga on Wednesday.
MWOS have hit a setback with two defeats on the trot and ceded the top spot to Simba Bhora.
TelOne competes at the top and at par on points with Scottland, who won their last two matches and could be awarded three points from their abandoned match against Chicken Inn.
A potentially exciting match is on the cards at Baobab where Ngezi Platinum with 32 points host Caps United while fast rising FC Platinum with 31 points are home to Kwekwe United at Mandava.
The Norman Mapeza side are likely to get three points from their called-off match against Dynamos and have a game in hand to Manica Diamonds and cannot be ruled out of the race for the top accolade at the end of the season.
Herentals will be home to Chicken Inn at Rufaro on Wednesday while Highlanders entertain Triangle at Barbourfields Stadium on Saturday.
