It was agony for hosts Zimbabwe as they crashed out of the Cosafa Under-17 Championships with a draw against Eswatini.
Coming from a loss against Mozambique in the first Group A match, Zimbabwe needed victory in the second match to be in contention for qualification for the semifinals but the side fired blanks with the match ending nil all.
It was a sad ending for the hosts as they had hoped to capitalise on home advantage and go all the way to the finals.
The Thulani Sibanda-coached side struggled to convert the chances they created despite being backed by a full house at Ngoni Stadium.
A draw between Mozambique and Comoros in an earlier fixture meant the two sides are on four points while Zimbabwe had one point, similar to Eswatini for the draw.
