AS has been speculated over the weeks, reigning 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League coach of the year, Tonderai Ndiraya is the new head coach at Chicken Inn.

Ndiraya, who won the league with flamboyant Scottland FC after also clinching the title with Simba Bhora, last season, takes his experience and pedigree to Bulawayo where he has signed a three-year contract with the 2015 champions Chicken Inn.

The Gamecocks just released a statement on Ndiraya’s appointment but is silent on Antipas’ status.

“Chicken Inn Football Club has appointed a new technical team as part of its ongoing drive to strengthen performance, professionalism, and competitive consistency. Reigning coach of the year Tonderai Ndiraya has been appointed Head Coach, bringing proven top-flight experience and strong tactical leadership. He has signed a three-year contract with the Gamecocks,” reads the statement from the club’s media department.

Ndiraya will be assisted by his trusted right hand man Naison Muchekela, with Fortune “Fokoza” Ncube as the second assistant.

Chicken Inn struggled in the past season and roped in Philani Mabhena to assist Antipas to the end of the season to steer the team away from relegation.

Mabhena replaced Fungai “Tostao” Kwashi, who was released during the course of the season.

Chicken Inn legend Guide Goddard was the other assistant coach.

Chicken Inn said other members of the technical team will be announced in due course.

“The technical team is tasked with implementing a clear football philosophy focused on structure, intensity, discipline, and results, while supporting player development and team cohesion. Appointments to the wider backroom staff will be announced in due course. Chicken Inn FC welcomes the new technical team and calls on supporters and stakeholders to rally behind the club as it embarks on this new chapter,” the club said.
